| Able Laboratories isn't able right
now to fulfill its mission to help make medications
more affordable: The company has suspended product
manufacturing and shipping so it can bring its
operations back up to FDA standards. The generic
drug maker has also recalled all the products
it has shipped. Those products, some 30 in total,
include a generic equivalent of popular attention
deficit disorder drug Ritalin (made by Novartis),
along with drugs targeting pain, inflammation,
cardiovascular problems, obesity, and neurological
issues such as manic depression. Able's customers
include such drug wholesalers and distributors
as Cardinal Health and McKesson. |
