It's not the Magna Carta, but Caprion Pharmaceuticals thinks its CellCarta technology could be just as historical. Using its CellCarta proteomics technology, the firm is developing products for the treatment of lung cancer (with Abbott Laboratories) and colon cancer (with Biogen Idec). Caprion also is working on a diagnostic for mad cow disease and its human form, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. Also in development are possible therapies for another neurodegenerative disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig's disease.
